Context

The Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) was adopted by the European Commission on 17 June 2008 for all marine waters under the jurisdiction of member states excluding overseas territories. It aims to take all the necessary measures to achieve or maintain good environmental status in marine environments by 2020 by privileging an ecosystem approach.

The catalogue is open to referent experts and MSFD leaders. The data can be viewed by the general public, but is only available for download by MSFD partner organisations.
