This EMODnet BlackSea Checkpoint data product is result of a stress test so called "challenge" specified by the call for tenders No MARE/2014/09 to determine how well the input data from the observing and monitoring systems existing at the sea basin scale fit the user requirements stated by the "challenge" partners to develop it (Data Product Specifications). The information contained in the data products and in the descriptions (metadata) of the input data and the data products making use of them is believed to be trustworthy. However its completeness, consistency, accuracy and usability cannot be guaranteed. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure its reliability within the limits of present knowledge, no responsibility can be accepted by those involved in its compilation or publication for any consequential loss or damage arising from its use.

BLACKSEA_CH05_Product_9 / Sediment mass balance trend for the last 50 years (1966-2015) - 50 yrs sediment mass balance trend
-
Component is not covered because data does not exist
-
Time-series include decadal data (10 years mean values). This means that for Poti region we have 2 observations (4% of the total period, if we consider yearly data) and for Adjara region we have 6 observations (12% of the total period, if we consider yearly data) to compute the 50 years sediment mass balance trend. Our scientific opinion is that the trend of a dataset which includes less than 70% of the total range of data can not be considered statistically significant. Therefore, this component can not be covered.
