This layer relies on High Definition rotating video data collected from the STAVIRO system (Pelletier et al. 2012). Images were analyzed to characterize biotic and abiotic substrate cover, as well as habitat complexity and topography. The habitat typology was obtained from multivariate statistical analyses of these habitat descriptors, so that each habitat comprises stations that are similar in termes of biotic, abiotic and topographic parameters. This habitat definition is then used to model fish-related indicators derived from counts of vagile macrofauna carried out on the same images.
