We sequenced 73,728 BAC clones of 150 kb average insert size (see Gaffney, P. M. (2008) A BAC-based physical map for the Pacific oyster genome. In: Journal of Shellfish Research, Vol. 27. pp. 1009-1009) from both ends using Sanger sequencing at the Genoscope facility (Evry, France). This resulted in 60,912 cleaned full-length (i.e. >1300 bp) BAC-End sequences (BES) pairs.
