Abstract Observations of live Halichoerus grypus from different datasets collected in France and the United Kingdom were compiled to generate presence-only distributions in the CHARM3 study area. The data span from 2002 - 2011 and come from both dedicated and opportunistic surveys from land, sea, or air.

Lineage Sightings records were contributed by: Marinelife and the Atlantic Research Coalition, the University of Exeter, the Sea Mammal Research Unit, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Consulting, Marine Conservation International and the International Federation for Animal Welfare, Cornwall Seal Group, and the Centre de Recherche sur les Mammifères Marins.
