Open Data
The open public data platform « data.gouv.fr », implemented and run by the Etalab mission, placed under the authority of the Prime Minister within the SGMAP, hosts the data sets and identifies their reuse.
The standards and protocols used by Sextant allow a quasi automation of the data integration process on data.gouv.fr. The platform's operating principle consists of :
- querying cataloguing services (CSW),
- filtering metadata with the "open data" keyword
- filtering metadata with standardised visualization (WMS) and downloading (WFS) services
This is how Sextant's public data sets feed the platform's Ifremer account.
